My friday was spent going up to the Burberry on 57th. After living in Chelsea for awhile Midtown is a whole other world. The girls and I went shopping hitting Chanel, Dior, Juicy Couture, the usual. I scoped out my next purchase, because I always do a bit of pre-shopping. When we were headed back downtown, a store seemed to be buzzing with life and we decided to stop by and check out what was going on. We walked in to be greeted with free bags, look books, and fruit. The DJ was pumping out awesome tunes and the clothes seemed to be just as colorful. It was a wonderful evening spent with some amazing people. xoxo
Last night at about 11pm, I decided to update to the new Apple operating system. Following this decision was three long hours of freaking out and finally iOS7. My iphone is only 8G so I had to delete a lot of apps ad pictures (I always back it up beforehand on my Mac though). Then the actually process of downloading began. From 10pm until about 1:20am I waited as my phone "loaded". During this time I mainly freaked out about having no more space, what if i don't like it and can't go back, so the usual. Then once it was finally downloaded, I took a deep breath and checked my available space. It turns out this operating system takes up less space than my old one leaving me with more room for social media apps and space for pictures. I like the new features, however i'm not so fond of the color pallet. The phone is very non-apple - lacking apples signature look. I do however enjoy the extra space and new features! So to all of you who are weary, I saw go for it. But leave yourself some time to let it download. Good luck xoxo
Ah, waking up early on a fall morning, laying under the many layers of blankets, contemplating the day ahead. Chai tea to be brewed and garments to be chosen. As i have previously mentioned, fall is my wardrobes favorite time of the year. The shoes can all be worn, the more cozy pieces can be brought out and there is this general feeling of well excitement. Today was clear as ever, except I forgot my glasses. No worries, I got through the day for I am not completely blind. Lunch was a quick spread of vegetable sushi, ginger ale, and then a chocolate chai latte to follow. I got to visit my father today for a nice amount of time, our talks are always nice, plus I get to hear how everyone is doing at home. Speaking of home, my mom is coming down next weekend to spend the day and then the following weekend I will be headed up to the Adirondack's for a town wide garage sale in Warrensburg. This is one of my favorite weekends of fall. The sales are always filled with vintage clothes, jewelry, book and almost anything you can imagine. Food of every kind is served and although it usually rains, this year I have my trusty hunter rain boots to battle the wet weather.
Today I felt as if my outfit spoke much of fall. It is a little monotone, but chic none the less. |
