Winter break is almost over, and soon enough i'll be back in New York City. Back to chain drinking coffee, walking everywhere and spending my Saturday nights in little apartments scattered around the city. Although relaxing these past few weeks has been nice, I have been craving for my daily schedule. Being the super list maker I am, I have a few tips for getting yourself back into the daily grind of school, work and everything else that happens during the semester.
Get In The Right Mindset
Yes, you have done this before, but you still need to switch your mind back into your school mode. There will be early mornings, late nights and stress. Prepare yourself mentally to deal with plunging back into the hectic daily doings of school and work life.
Make A To Do List
List all of the things you need to do once you get back. It's much easier to make this list while you're home when you have time and a clear head. You'll thank yourself later once you get to school and you have a clear plan of action.
Check Your Planner
Look at your planner, and see what exactly is on your agenda for the week. What days do you have class, or work? Make sure you glance at this and have an idea of your schedule mentally.
Leave Yourself Wiggle Room
Don't jam pack your time with coffee dates, reunions and parties right when you get back. Yes you want to see your friends, but you also don't want to burn yourself out to early.
Get Work Done Now
Do as much work as you can ahead of time. Whether it's food shopping, or some required reading, get it done NOW.
Cheers to the next semester. xoxo
