My day in Chelsea, Brooklyn, and the Upper West Side
Today started out to be phenomenal and then continued at such a pace. I went in for my interview at Chelsea Piers today, did some assisting, and got the job! I am so excited to start working again, I really do need to be working and this was a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. After my interview I headed back to FIT to grab a quick lunch, change my clothes and then head down to Brooklyn. Why Brooklyn? - you might ask. Well one of my really great friends had just moved into his dorm and I wanted to see him. So we walked along the river, the promenade and explored Brooklyn Heights. We also indulged in some amazing, but quite expensive Haagen-dazs shakes. They were in honor of my recent job acceptance, much needed and much deserved. It's actually quite convenient to go visit him because the subway runs directly from my dorm to his. Around 4pm I had to say goodbye and I headed back into Manhattan. Once I got back I grabbed my jacket and headed with the girls to walk to central park. There we saw Silver Linings Play Book and got free Oreo Popcorn! We had so much fun and the movie was spectacular. On the way back we explored some of the west side and walked through the lit up Times Square. Its basically it's own sun. All of New York revolving around it. Tomorrow I get to sleep in for the first time in over a week! (YES) Then i'm headed back to Brooklyn to a flea market. That sounds like a good day to me. With classes around the corner, and a secure job, I am looking forward with the upmost positivity towards the year to come.
