Jitters, nerves, and pre-election worries. These are all things that tag along with running for a leadership position in any society. After todays elections I am confident that our PRSSA chapter will continue to grow and flourish.
I ran for Vice President of Chapter Development. I ended up tying with the other candidate. She had an amazing speech and brought many valuable qualities to the table. So after tying, twice actually, with each other we decided to run the position as co-chairs.
In all honesty I think this is a really valuable experience. Not only do we get to represent our chapter and provide amazing meetings, connections and benefits for our members, we also get to learn how to work closely with another person, a very valuable skill in the public relations industry. The outcome of these elections are a huge opportunity and we all need to take it and run with it.
I am very excited for the upcoming year and congratulate my coVP and all other e-board elects.
