Lately, i've been drinking a lot of smoothies. Going for no sugar, no sweeteners, rather just fruit, yogurt and sometimes a flax seed or whey mix in. I prefer to make mine at home so I know exactly what's going in but recently i've been going to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. For a huge 24 ounce healthy smoothie it's only a mere $5 and I can add in other vitamins and extras. They can customize any smoothie and I always finish the drinks feeling amazing instead of feeling weighed down.
Talking with one of my friends the other day we realized, smoothies are the perfect food for the busy NYC PR girl (like myself). They are healthy and packed with nutrient and vitamins to start. These supercharged drinks don't just have cool names but they also fill you up for the day, which can be a struggle with other low calorie, high nutrient meals. They also are extremely portable. You can drink one on your way to a meeting, and then your breath will smell like blueberries and mango. You can drink one at your desk or on your way back to the office from running an errand. So forget super-fruits, and go for a super-smoothie.
