Last night was my first event as a Publicity Assistant with the company Pubslush. I recently started this and I absolutely love it so far. The company is amazing and my coworkers are all interesting, motivated, innovative people. Pubslush is a crowdfunding platform for books. Honestly, though it really goes above and beyond that. The blog features interesting bloggers, writers, women and other culture noteworthy topics. Check it out sometime at blog.pubslush.com.
Last night was a company event during social media week. It was on 36th Street at Suite 36, a bar & lounge. It went so well and I had so much fun! Getting there was probably the hardest part of the night! So here's a little recap of last nights events.
First, I walked up to 36th street, then thinking I went to the wrong place I walked down to 26th street. No problem, still early, right? Well I get down to 26th street and whoops turns out I was supposed to go to 36th! I run over to Madison and grab a cab. The cab driver asks me where i'm from and I reply with a hesitant "America?". But I followup that I can speak a little French, he talks to me in French and I reply. Then he stops the meter and I only pay 3$ for the ride!!! Sweet!
During the event I had free reign to live tweet. I also did a few set up tasks, and handled the grab bags. Near the last hour I went around and urged people to sign up right then and there to our site! I really love my job and the Pubslush team!
ciao dolls. xoxo
