As a seasoned attendee of PR conferences and having traveled to Europe a few times I like to think I know a little about packing. The art of packing is about understanding a few things. One, you should understand where you are going, what the weather will be like and the normal area climate. Two, check your itinerary, you should pack for your activities, wether it is a business conference or a fun weekend out with girlfriends. The final point to understand is yourself. You should be honest about what you will wear and what you think you will wear. If you haven't worn that top in two years do you really think it's going to be utilized in that four day trip? Probably not.
Make A Checklist - Write down what you think you will need about a week before, and then review it. This way you will have time to think about what you actually want on that list and remember anything you may be forgetting.
Pack Versatile Pieces - Pack separates that can double, like tops that can go from day to night or a dress that can be worn to a meeting or out to dinner.
Wrap Delicate Items in Tissue Paper - Items with beading or lace should be wrapped so they aren't torn while traveling.
Stuff Shoes with socks/underwear - Maintain the shape of your shoes by stuffing them
Happy travels. Xoxo
