Yesterday I had the pleasure to present the Miles of Hope Foundation with a check totaling over $1,000. This was the money raised through my annual fashion show. This years show was titles "We're All Mad Here" and was a fashion show and tea party to celebrate a collection full of color. Guests were treated to tea party scones & treats while drinking a selection of teas from colorful mason jars.
Although the fashion show is taxing and stressful, I love producing it. At the end, seeing people have fun at an event you created is such a rewarding feeling. Then after the show, being able to donate money to a charity so close to my heart makes it an extreme mix of pride and happiness. Miles of Hope is a Foundation that is dedicated to helping those affected by breast cancer. You can learn more and visit their website here.
I would never have been able to do this show without my amazing family's support and some other key players. Partners in Massage, Hyde Park was the wonderful donor of raffle items, FACE Stockholm of Rhinebeck did all of the models makeup as a donation & the Bella Capelli Salon did all of the models hair as a donation. The Milanese family also did so much for the show as did Mrs. Seelke's health class at FDR. For the past two years they have raised money through a bake sale to help fund the show, so all ticket and raffle sales can be donated! Thank you to all who helped out, all our our models, volunteers and attendees.
I would like to say I can't wait until next year, but I am really enjoying my summer relaxation. However I am concocting some new ideas for next year. For now relaxation, and then we shall dive in. Until next year, fashion show.
Happy Catwalking. Xoxo
