The Chanel and Burberry ads were both substantially longer in Vogue than in Elle. I was very surprised at the Nordstrom ad, which was printed on a thicker, almost card stock type paper and lasted twelve pages. Nordstrom typically does longer ads but this one had an almost Marc Jacobs look to it, with larger white borders and playful snapshots of designer clothes and accessories. The companies Piperlime and Net-a-porter had very appealing ads. I personally have loved these companies for a while but never have seen them advertised in this way. It’s a new movement, high class advertising of sites that sell cheaper designer goods. Well, off to dinner and more reading to resume later.
After dinner my friends and I headed out for an impromptu shopping trip followed by a movie night. It's so refreshing to be surrounded by people who share the same passions, yet are still unique in themselves. xoxo
