Public Relations doesn't ALWAYS require a desk, but many a time you will find yourself typing away and updating social media. A desk is an important space and shouldn't be an eye sore. Here are some lovely desk essentials straight from your own NYC PR girl.
Cute NoteBooks - This is probably the first thing others will see and I always feel your clothes and items should reflect you. Invest in a nice notebook for your daily to-do and random thoughts.
Stickynotes/Stickytabs - In my books, in my notes and basically all over I use these to mark important thoughts and pages.
Candle - If your senses are happy, you're happy. Keep your nose cheery with a nice light and fresh scent. Your office doesn't allow flame? You're in luck because we live in the 21st century and there are cool innovations like flameless candles. (whoa)
Mood Lighting - A cute lamp sets the mood. Lighting is a key factor in how you feel and productivity levels, don't underestimate a nice shade.
