Yesterday at 1:40 I picked up my little sister from Grand Central! She came down to visit and spent the night in NYC with me! She can makes me laugh hysterically for hours and I love spending time with the girl, so I planned a non stop day of fun for us! First we headed to my dorm, stopping to get some BAked by Melissa cupcakes on the way. Sam dropped her bags off at my dorm, accidentally pulling down the curtains as she walked in, immediate hysterics from me to follow. Then we headed to get some froyo, and proceeded to go walk the high-line. Sam got to see my gym, where I work. (She does gymnastics so she was curious to see what it looked like, and it made her want to go out and tumble.) After seeing the Chelsea Piers Field House, we caught a subway going downtown. Headed to Soho for some shopping. She got a bunch of new things thanks to the columbus day sales and we walked around in search of new places. Becoming hungry, we headed back up to my dorm, preparing to order her favorite, Chinese food. Some much needed rest was taken and, Chinese eaten, before we got ready for the night portion of our time together.
Around 9:30 we headed again to the subway to go up to Columbus Circle. I was taking Sam to Robert for dessert, a restaurant on the 9th floor that overlooks Columbus Circle and Central Park. We ordered cool refreshing drinks and savory desserts, sitting right against the floor to ceiling windows. After our incredible meal of sorts, we headed to times square via subway so Sam could see it lit up at night and do some shopping at the enormous Forever 21. All shopped out and tired we walked back to the dorm around 1am getting in to shower and then relax in the room. We didn't fall asleep until 2 am, both of us laughing and talking. I had so much fun seeing my sister and next week my mom comes to visit for the day! xoxo
